Lucy, the visionary founder of Rhubarb Food Design, sold her renowned catering business to a private equity firm in 2012 after 26 years of delivering exceptional creativity, quality, and glamour to private and corporate events. Under her leadership, Rhubarb Food Design gained a reputation with working with all the iconic venues and palaces in London and all over the UK. Lucy has catered for the most infamous celebrity VIP’s and glamorous events over the years. Lucy is now actively working with a select few caterers and matching clients to the correct food requirements – also having worked closely with a Kosher caterer Lucy can help with Kosher friendly events. Though she took a break to spend time with family, Lucy’s passion for the industry led her back to event catering as an advisor, leveraging her extensive network of trusted suppliers and her unparalleled expertise in food presentation and event execution.

Her unique talent, likened to the “hair and makeup” of catering, ensures every event is a visual and delicious delight.

 Lucy has consulted on eight Olympic Games, two Rugby World Cups, and worked closely with chefs worldwide, gaining deep insight into hotel and restaurant operations.

For UK clients staying the beautiful Santa Eulalia villa, we will be putting on a 3 to 4 day food experience in the company of one of Menorca’s finest culinary chefs. You will experience fabulous local markets and traditional Spanish cuisine and learn some helpful shortcuts to create your own Spanish recipes. 

NO YOGA INCLUDED!! 

Food Retreats Itinerary

You will be accompanied by a local Spanish (English Speaking chef ) on the following experiences: 

  • Spanish restaurant tasting, to try the local Spanish Stew – Caldereta de Llagosta. During the week you will learn how to cook this delicious classic & local Minorcan dish! 
  • Visit local markets to learn about all the different local fish and shellfish. Then buy your ingredients and cook something you can’t identify!
  • Local wine and cheese tasting. 
  • Spend a morning at the local mushroom factory and enjoy a degustation  menu cooked by the local chefs using their produce at the factory. 
  • A day at the markets in Cuitadella. 
  • Learn some clever short cuts for Tapas cooking and Canapés! 

Other activities available on request…   

These retreats could be built around individual requests and will run through Late January to early April from Wednesday to Sunday in association with the direct flights with EasyJet which are now available for this and next year.
